Description
This is a cart-shed built around 1830, with later additions and alterations, commissioned by Sir Tatton Sykes, 4th Baronet. It is constructed from reddish-brown brick in English garden wall bond and features a pantile roof. The structure is a single tall storey with two bays and has two elliptically arched cart openings, one of which is blocked and fitted with a slatted wooden ventilator. There is an eaves band and a swept, hipped roof topped with ashlar ridge tiles. Inside, the cart-shed has a king-post roof.
