Description

Nos. 15 to 18 Church Green form a group of early to mid-19th century buildings. They are constructed of painted brick, with a Welsh slate roof to No. 18, and pantile roofs to the remaining buildings. The buildings have two gabled dormers and two windows to each floor. The windows have brick flat arches. Modern doors are present, each with a rectangular fanlight above. Nos. 15 to 18 form a group with Nos. 4 to 8 (consec.) Kirkgate, Nos. 15 to 20 (consec.) Kirkgate, Church of St Mary, Kirkgate, The Bayle Gate, Baylegate, Nos. 11 to 16 (consec.) Baylegate, and Nos. 20 to 22 (consec.) Church Green, as well as Nos. 11 to 16 (consec.) Baylegate, and are valued for their contribution to the local character.
