Description

No. 9 Kirkgate is a building from the 18th century or early 19th century, standing two storeys tall with attics. The front is rendered, and it features a pantile roof with two gabled dormers and one brick chimney stack. There is a modern brick eaves cornice, and the building has two windows on each floor. It also has two modern doors that are topped with rectangular fanlights, along with a foot scraper. This building is included as part of a group with Nos. 1 to 8 Kirkgate, and Nos. 4 to 8 form a group with the Memorial Drinking Fountain at Baylegate.
