Description
Moorend Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof. The building has a double-depth plan with a central entrance hall and two rooms. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has three symmetrical bays. A 20th-century wooden latticed porch covers a late 19th-century panelled door, which includes an overlight with margin lights set in a pilastered doorcase. The windows are late 19th-century four-pane sashes within original flush wooden architraves, complete with sills and stucco flat arches. The farmhouse has stepped eaves, brick-coped gables, and end stacks. Inside, there is an original staircase featuring column-on-vase balusters, although the interior has not been fully investigated.
