Description

This pair of late 18th or early 19th century buildings stands on the east side of Walkergate in Beverley. They are two storeys high, constructed in brick with a slate roof, and feature two dormers. The facades have rendered, rusticated lintels above the windows. No. 85 has hung sash windows with glazing bars. The buildings have two moulded doorways, each topped with an entablature and a flat cornice supported by block consoles. The doorways contain six-panel doors and rectangular fanlights; the fanlight above the door to No. 85 incorporates ornamental glazing bars.
