Description

This building at 106 Walkergate has 18th-century origins, although it was significantly altered in the late 19th century. It is a two-storey building with an attic, constructed of brick. The roof is covered in pantiles and features two gabled dormers, with brick stacks positioned at the gable ends. A dentil eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. The front has two windows, each with a hung sash and glazing bars, topped with stone lintels. A late 19th-century gabled wooden hood with carved bargeboards shelters the four-panel door, which itself sits beneath an original coved cornice. A rectangular fanlight is located above the door.
