Description
Northcourt Farmhouse is a house built in the early 18th century, which was altered and extended in the mid-19th century. It features red brick construction and a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, standing on a plinth with a moulded wooden eaves cornice beneath a hipped roof. There are three gabled dormers, with stacks located to the rear left and right. The windows are regularly arranged, with five glazing bar sashes on the first floor and four on the ground floor, each with gauged flying cornices. The central entrance door consists of six raised and fielded panels and is topped by a rectangular fanlight within a gabled porch. At the rear right, there are 19th-century wings, one of which has an attic and features two half dormers and three wooden casements. Inside, the staircase hall includes dado panelling, and the staircase has a moulded handrail and turned balusters on an open string, following a half-landing plan.
