Description
Garth Farmhouse is a house from the mid-18th century. It features coursed and graduated squared oolitic limestone rubble on the front wall, with coursed rubble on the side and rear walls, and brick dressings. The roof is made of cast tiles. The building has two storeys and a symmetrical elevation with five bays.
On the ground floor, there is a plinth. The central feature is a late 19th-century canted bay window with two-pane sashes, which replaced the original door. To the left of the bay window are sashes with sills and glazing bars, while to the right is a glazed door that occupies a former window opening, followed by another sash with a sill and glazing bars. All windows are set below flat brick arches. The first floor has five similar sashes. The house has end and axial stacks, with coped gables on shaped kneelers.
