Description

Elmsall House is a house dating from the mid-to-late 18th century, with restoration work carried out in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick, with stone to the rear wing, featuring a timber eaves cornice and pantiled roofs. The symmetrical front elevation has two storeys and three bays, with the central bay slightly projecting. The central bay contains a six-panel door set within panelled reveals and a pilastered doorcase topped with a dentilled pediment. Sashes with sills are situated under gauged brick arches to the right and left of the door, and three similar sashes are on the first floor. A modillion eaves cornice runs along the top of the front elevation, with end stacks and raised coped gables on shaped kneelers.
