Description

The former Station Master's House, built in 1847 by G. T. Andrews, is a two-storey house located on Station Road in Pocklington. Constructed from red brick with stone dressings and a slate roof, it has a rectangular plan with a rear wing. The building features three bays, a moulded plinth, rusticated quoins, and a first-floor sill band. The ground floor includes sash windows with glazing bars set in eared and shouldered architraves with sills, while the first floor has similar windows in architraves with sills. A deep moulded cornice and an axial stack are present, along with a hipped roof. The main entrance is a four-panel door located in a moulded architrave leading to the rear wing.
