Description
The former goods shed in Pocklington is a mid-19th century building, possibly designed by G. T. Andrews. It is constructed of red brick with stone dressings and weatherboarded timber, topped with a slate roof. The structure is one storey high and consists of five bays arranged in a 1:1:3 pattern. The left bay, which was likely originally open, has been underbuilt in the 20th century. The second bay features a 20th-century door with a louvre above it, flanked by 20th-century windows set in original openings, all under round gauged brick arches. The remaining bays have large, blocked openings with round gauged-brick heads and raised keystones. The roof is hipped. This building is included for its group value context.
