Description
The stables and outbuildings to the former Neswick Hall are late 18th century and early to mid-19th century structures, with some later 19th century additions. They are built of red brick and feature pantile roofs, arranged in an L shape. The stables consist of an 8-bay structure that is two storeys high, while the adjacent 19th century barn and byres are a tall single storey with five bays.
The stable range has an off-centre semicircular headed doorcase with a stone keyblock, a six-panel door, and a blocked fanlight, flanked by full-height pilaster strips. On either side of the main entrance, there are two tall doorcases with flat brick arches, stone keyblocks, and plain overlights; the left doorcase is now partially blocked. To the left of these, there are three similar doorcases, with the rightmost one also partially blocked. To the far right, there is a lower doorcase with a segmental headed sash window featuring glazing bars.
The first floor includes five square casement windows: one on the far left and the others above the main door and to the right. However, the first floor and roof between the end bay and the main doorcase on the left have collapsed. The eaves are dentilled, and the roof is hipped to the left.
The north range features a segmental headed four-pane sash window on the far left, with inserted double board doors beneath a timber lintel nearby. To the right, there is a flat arched doorcase with a board door and a plain overlight, along with blocked slit breathers and a segmental arched doorcase beyond. On the far right, there are two segmental arched openings and a late 19th century addition. Above, there are three pitching doors, and the eaves are also dentilled, with the roof hipped to the right. The structures are currently disused and in a derelict state.
