Description
Wallingfen Methodist Chapel is a chapel built between 1811 and 1812. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond and features a pantile roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. The central opening is a pointed sash window with glazing bars, flanked by double leaf doors that sit beneath pointed overlights, also with glazing bars. On the first floor, there are unequal 9-pane sash windows beneath round-arched overlights, all of which are set below gauged brick arches. The roof is hipped. Inside, there is a fine panelled gallery supported by Tuscan columns, and steps lead up to a carved altar-piece with a panel behind it.
