Description
No 4 Church Lane is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is built of brick, which is rendered and colour-washed, and has a pantiled roof. Originally, the house was two storeys high with five bays under a two-span roof, but the right two bays were demolished around 1920. The former centre bay projects slightly and features a six-panel door with a fanlight that has radial glazing, all set within a Doric porch that includes an entablature. To the left of the door, there are two sash windows with glazing bars and a sill band in architraves. On the first floor, there are three similar sash windows without a sill band. The house has raised gables and an end stack on the left side.
