Description
Shaw Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse with later minor alterations to the rear wing. It is constructed of brick and has a pantile roof. The building is L-shaped, featuring a two-room layout with a central entrance on the south front, and a kitchen and stable wing to the rear right. The farmhouse stands two storeys high and has three symmetrical bays. The entrance includes a six-fielded-panel door set within a wooden architrave, and there are four-pane sash windows in flush wooden architraves. The eaves are stepped, and the raised gables feature tumbled-in brickwork. There are end stacks. Inside, the farmhouse contains three-panelled doors and six-fielded-panel doors within architraves, although the interior has not been fully investigated.
