Description

Thorn Villa is an early 19th-century building located on Providence Place. It is two storeys high and features rough rendering with rusticated quoins and a hipped Welsh slate roof. The façade has three windows with rendered segmental arches, lacking glazing bars, and includes bands at the cills. On the ground floor, there are two canted bays and a porch supported by hexagonal columns, topped with an entablature and cornice. The porch has a modern glazed door, and there is an extension to the right of the building. Thorn Villa is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 4 Belle Vue, Tennyson Road, and Nos 1 to 11 North View Terrace, which are of local interest.
