Description

Mere Farmhouse is an early 19th-century house situated on Hunmanby Road, Burton Fleming. It is rendered with a pantiled roof and brick stacks. The symmetrical two-storey and attic elevation features a two-window front. A 20-pane sash window sits above a C20 door, which is framed by a wooden architrave with a rectangular fanlight. The ground floor has 20-pane sashes, while the first floor has unequal 12-pane sashes. Plain close verges and end stacks are present. The roof pitch and proportions indicate the house is a remodelling of a previous, earlier structure.
