Description
Mires Farmhouse is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed oolitic limestone rubble with gauged brick dressings and a pantiled roof. The building is two storeys and five bays wide, with the central bay projecting slightly. The front entrance is a four-panel door with an overlight, flanked to the right and left by single four-pane sash windows, all set beneath flat gauged brick arches. On the first floor, there are five smaller four-pane sash windows, also with flat gauged brick arches. The roof features a dentil brick eaves cornice, end stacks, and tumbled-in brick to the raised gables.
