Description

This lamp standard, located at the center of Sow Hill opposite No. 4, dates from the mid-19th century. It is a large cast iron structure composed of two stages, resting on a round plinth with a moulded top and base. The upper stage features an onion-shaped base, and there is a nameplate from the Coalbrookdale Foundry above it. At the top, the lamp is fitted with a modern reproduction lantern that mimics the style of the original.
