Description

This is a mediaeval village cross, located beside the B1242 to the east of Atwick. Constructed from limestone and set on large cobbles, it comprises an unusual triple-stepped base leading up to a cubical cross base and a fragmented shaft. The shaft is four-sided, featuring panels in the lower section and a chamfered top. The cross is designated as an Ancient Monument.
