Description

Skipsea Grange is a house dating probably from the late 18th century, with later additions and alterations, including ranges to either side that do not possess particular significance. The house is constructed of reddish-brown brick in an English garden wall bond, with a pantile roof. It is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance features a four-panel door with an overlight, set within a pilastered surround incorporating a frieze and cornice. Throughout the house, there are four-pane sash windows, with those on the ground floor set beneath segmental arches. The roof has a swept profile, and the gables have tumbled-in brickwork. Brick copings run along the roofline. Chimneys are located at each end of the building.
