Description
Hook Hall is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond and features a pantile roof. The building has a central hallway entry and stands three storeys tall with five bays. The entrance includes a glazed double leaf door set beneath an overlight, framed by an architrave with a pediment supported by carved consoles. The windows are 20th-century casements located beneath flat brick arches in the original openings, with a band running along each storey. A parapet with moulded stone coping conceals the hipped roof, which has ridge stacks. Inside, the cornices at the landings feature egg-and-tongue and dentilled friezes, along with modillions and paterae bordering the ceilings.
