Description
Nos 23 and 23A on North Bar Within in Beverley are buildings from the first half of the 18th century. They are two storeys tall with an attic, constructed from painted brick and topped with a tiled roof that features a gabled dormer. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, and there is an ogee bracketed eaves cornice. On the first floor, there are three windows and one blank space, all with near flush frames and glazing bars in the upper sashes. The ground floor has shop windows with wooden cases and a modern stone plinth. Inside, there is a columnar newel staircase and two peat-burning fireplaces on the ground floor.
