Description

This milepost, located approximately 50 metres south-east of Cowick Primary School, dates from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape, standing about 1.1 metres high with a triangular head. The sides facing the road feature a raised border and an inscription that reads: "SELBY THORNE 9 6 MILES."
