Description
This is a house located at 14 (A) Station Road in Hutton Cranswick, likely built in the mid-18th century, with later additions and alterations, including a range at the rear and a late 20th-century range to the left that is of no special interest. The house features a lobby-entry plan and is two storeys high, with four windows on the first floor. The entrance is off-centre, consisting of a part-glazed door framed by a fluted surround and topped with a hood.
On the ground floor, the outer bays have 16-pane sash windows, with the right window set under a flat arch made of rubbed brick, and to the left of the door, there is a 20-pane sash window also under a flat arch of rubbed brick. The first floor has 16-pane sash windows, each under flat arches of rubbed brick, and all windows are fitted with stone sills. The house has a modillion eaves cornice and brick copings, with end and ridge stacks. The gable ends feature tumbled-in brickwork. Inside, there are some six-panel doors.
