Description

The war memorial on Cranswick Green was erected in 1921 and is made of Portland stone. It features an octagonal cross that stands within a small square enclosure, which is surrounded by a low wall made of rock-faced stone. The central cross has an octagonal stepped base with inscribed panels on each face, topped with a moulded cap and a tall battered octagonal cross shaft. This is further topped by another moulded cap and a plain stone cross.
