Description
The Patrington Haven War Memorial is a 5-meter tall stone structure featuring a small wheel cross atop a cylindrical column, which stands on a square plinth raised on a stepped square base. The plinth includes four corner pillars, with recessed panels of darker stone displaying the following inscriptions:
On the west face: "TO THE GLORIOUS MEMORY OF THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FIGHTING FOR GOD, KING & EMPIRE 1914 - 1918 (NAMES) THEY SHALL LIVE FOR EVERMORE."
On the south face: "SERVED GOD, KING & EMPIRE 1914-1919 (NAMES)."
On the north face: "SERVED GOD, KING & EMPIRE 1914-1919 (NAMES)."
