Description

WOODMANSEY SHEPHERD LANE TA 03 NW (west side) 9/85 Old Hall GV II House. Late C17/early C18; 3 bays to right raised by one storey in late C19. Red brick, pantiled roofs. Original range of single storey and attics over deep basement; 6-window front to ground floor. Central boarded door with overlight flanked to right and left by large 6-pane sashes and to extreme right by small C20 inserted window. Beyond to left two 6-pane sashes: to extreme left, a timber cross-mullion window of 2 lights (the right one now blocked) with internal boarded shutters. Deep moulded brick eaves cornice, small C20 dormer, and hipped roof with triple axial stack to 3 left bays: 3 C20 windows with sills to first floor of 3 right bays. End and front roof pitch stacks. Interior: no original features remain although the roof structure over the 3 left bays is probably intact. The ground- floor room to the right has a fireplace in a corner position. Basement to full width of house with row of central brick piers, not fully investigated.
