Description

This is a terrace of ten houses located on Boundary Road in Port Sunlight, built around 1905 by Grayson and Ould. The houses are constructed with roughcast render on a brick base, incorporating timber framing, and have hipped tile roofs with decorative gable ends. The two central bays project and feature a jettied timber-framed centre on the first floor. The second and ninth bays also have jettied first floors supported by bressumers, with jettied timber-framed gables above. A drip mould runs above the ground floor windows. The central gable is ornamented with intricate bargeboards. The windows are leaded casements; ground floor windows have four lights, while the second and ninth bays feature a three-light window. First-floor windows mostly have three lights, except for the central bay, which has a five-light window with flanking lights, and the second and ninth bays, which have four-light canted oriels. The entrances have drip moulds and half-glazed doors with small panes of glass. The rear elevations are similar to the front, and include original privies.
