Description

This is a terrace of six houses located on Bebington Road, Port Sunlight, built in 1897 according to a datestone. The houses were designed by Grayson and Ould. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings and have a tile roof.

The terrace is one storey high with an attic, and comprises six bays. The first bay is recessed under a gable, and the fifth bay projects, also under a gable. The houses feature a stone base, a moulded band above the ground floor, and stone gables with finials and dormers. The ground floor windows are 4-light, double-chamfered mullioned windows with drip moulds. The first floor windows are 3-light, all with leaded glazing; those on the first and fifth bays also have drip moulds. A datestone is positioned above the first floor window in the first bay. The entrances have lintels with recessed arches and drip moulds, and the plank doors are fitted with top lights. There are three cross-axial chimney stacks.

The right return elevation has windows with 2, 3, and 2 lights, king mullions, and a datestone above. The left return incorporates diapering and a projecting lateral stack with diagonal flues. The rear elevation has timbered half-dormers and external privies.
