Description

This is a post box located on Ashville Road in Birkenhead, opposite the junction with Cavendish Road. It was built between 1866 and 1871 and was designed by Penfold, with manufacturing by Cochrane of Dudley. The post box is made of cast iron and features a hexagonal shape with a moulded base, bands, and cornice. It has a petal ogival cap topped with an acorn finial.
