Description
This is a pair of houses located at 15 and 17 Ashville Road, built around 1840 to 1850 in a simple Tudor style. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a Welsh slate roof. The buildings are three stories high and are symmetrically designed, with prominent outer gables, each containing a two-window range, and a central range that also has two windows. There are side entrances, and each floor has four-pane sash windows with stone sills and quoins. The central section includes a flat-roofed extension on the ground floor. The outer gables are adorned with fretted bargeboards. The rear elevation, which faces a park, has Dutch coped gables and squared bay windows in the central section. The houses also have end wall and axial stacks.
