Description

Nos. 33, 35, and 37 Manor Place are three houses built around 1872 for James and George Wilson. Constructed of brick, they feature a hipped slate roof and stand two storeys tall with six bays. The windows have segmental heads and are sashed with glazing bars. The entrances are round-headed and have 20th-century doors. There are four stacks paired across the ridge, and lean-to wings extend to the rear. These houses are part of a planned village for Price's Patent Candle Company, which is one of the earliest examples of a model industrial village.
