Description
A terrace of seven houses built in 1907, designed by C. E. Deacon and Horsburgh as part of the Port Sunlight model village. The houses are constructed with pebbledash rendering on a brick base, topped with a tile roof. The two-storey terrace is seven bays wide, with a canted corner bay and a further three bays facing Central Road. The fourth and fifth bays project forward under a gable, while the first, second, and seventh bays feature jettied, gabled first floors. Deep eaves form canopies over the entrances and extend across the fourth and fifth bays, supported by timber Doric columns on low walls. The windows are small-paned casements; the ground floor windows are segmental-headed four-light designs, and the first floor windows are similar projecting designs, sheltered by drip moulds. Dormers with flat tops are located above the third and sixth bays. The entrances have six-panel doors with small-paned windows above. The corner bay projects outward, mimicking the appearance of the end bay. The facade facing Central Road has a jettied first floor to the first bay, and the third bay is canted with a timbered gable. The property has seven chimney stacks, one at the corner. The rear elevation is of similar design.
