Description
South Lodge to Hesketh Grange is a lodge built in 1894 by Grayson and Ould. It is constructed of stone with a shingle roof and is one storey high with an attic, featuring two bays by one bay. The windows are fitted with leaded glazing. On the ground floor, there is a two-light ovolo-mullioned window and a three-light casement, while the first floor has three-light gabled dormers with shingled gables. The recessed porch includes timber round-arched arcading, and there is a plank door at the entrance to the return. The left side facing the street has a shingled gable, a four-light ovolo-mullioned window on the ground floor, and a four-light casement on the first floor. There is a stack at the right gable end and another stack at the rear with diagonal shafts.
