Description
No. 13 Charlesville is a house built around 1840 to 1848 by Charles Reed. It features a stucco exterior and a hipped Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and a three-window range, with a central entrance that is sheltered by a lean-to porch beneath a slightly advanced pediment. The wide ground-floor windows are tripartite casements with transoms and segmentally arched heads, while the upper storey has two-light casements, with the central window adorned with a bracketted entablature. There are two axial stacks. This house is one of the earliest constructed in the Claughton development designed by Charles Reed during the 1840s.
