House. c1840-48. By Charles Reed. Stucco with hipped Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 3-window range with central entrance beneath lean-to porch in slightly advanced pedimented central bay. Wide ground-floor windows are tripartite casements with transoms and segmentally arched heads. 2-light casements to upper storey, the central window with bracketted entablature. 2 axial stacks. The house is one of the earliest to be built in the development at Claughton laid out by Charles Reed during the 1840's.
