Description
Rainhill Hall, formerly known as Loyola Hall, dates from around 1824. This two-storey building is constructed of ashlar and features a moulded cornice and eaves. It has five sash windows, each with labels. The large central entrance is made up of a half-glazed door flanked by pointed arched niches, which are adorned with a cornice and shell pediment. This entrance is sheltered by a large square porch supported by six free-standing fluted leaf columns, which curve at the outer angles. The porch also includes a carved frieze and a panelled soffit, and it is topped by an ornate iron balustrade.
