Description
The wayside cross, located approximately 112 metres from the estate wall on Park Wall Road in Ince Blundell, features a medieval stone base with a 20th-century cross. The square stone base is adorned with incised crosses and has two rectangular depressions on the top. The modern wooden cross replaces the original, which was situated by the road from Ince Blundell to Sefton before the road was redirected during the construction of the estate wall between 1770 and 1776. A white painted cross on the estate wall indicates the original position of the cross.
