Description
The shelter located to the southeast of the lake in Stanley Park was built in 1870 and designed by E. R. Robson. It is constructed of stone and features a slate roof, although the lower section was felted in 1984. The structure is hexagonal in shape and includes pointed arches supported by round columns. The timber roof has a raised six-sided glazed lantern topped with a pyramid roof and an iron crest. The base of the shelter is also six-sided, but it does not contain any seating.
