Description
The main entrance to Anfield Cemetery was built in 1862 by architects Lucy and Littler. It features an entrance screen made of red sandstone. The central clock tower is octagonal on a square base and includes relief carvings, Gothic details, and a gabled pinnacled top. On either side of the tower are fine iron gates leading to carriage drives, with two square gate piers on each side that taper and have truncated spires. There are also iron gates for pedestrian access, which are covered by iron canopies.
