Description
No. 242 is the lodge to Anfield Cemetery, located to the south of the main entrance. It was built in 1862, as indicated by a plaque to the right of the entrance. The lodge is designed by Lucy and Littler and constructed from snecked stone with a slate roof. It is a single-storey building with an attic and features two bays on each side. The windows consist of two and three segmental-pointed lights with transoms. The bay to the left of the entrance projects forward under a gable and includes a canted bay window. The entrance bay has two drip moulds, one of which is positioned over the segmental pointed entrance, and is topped with a parapet and a hipped roof. There are two stone stacks on the building.
