Description
30-33 Great George Square is a terrace of houses built in the early 19th century. The buildings are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a slate roof. Each house has three storeys, a basement, and three bays. There are sill bands on the first floor, a top cornice, and a blocking course. The windows have gauged brick flat arches and are mostly sash windows with glazing bars. The central windows on the second floor are blind. The entrances are round-headed and have Doric doorcases with fluted columns. Most houses have area railings, except for No 33. No 30 features a complete fanlight and a six-panel door. Nos 31 and 32 are rendered, and most of their windows were boarded in 1984; the fanlights and door of No 32 are also boarded. No 33 has a six-panel door adorned with lion's masks and rosettes, along with a boarded fanlight.
