Description

This is a pair of houses, dated 1845 as indicated by a plaque above the entrance to number 116. The houses are constructed of stone with a slate roof. They are two storeys high and consist of four bays, with the end bays projecting forward under gabled roofs that feature finials. The windows are sash windows, originally without glazing bars. The end bays have a canted bay window on the ground floor and a two-light mullioned window with sashes on the first floor. A central plaque commemorates the Woolton District Nursing Society Nurses' Home, built by request of Mary J. Cross, who served as President from 1879 to 1902.
