Description

Much Woolton Old School is a disused school building dated 1610, as indicated on the lintel. It is constructed of stone with a slate roof at the front and a stone slate roof at the rear. The façade features two bricked windows on either side of a central Tudor-arched bricked entrance. The lintel is inscribed with "MUCH WOOLTON OLD SCHOOL/THE OLDEST ELEMENTARY/SCL BUILDING IN LANCASHIRE," with the date prominently displayed in the center. The returns of the building have bricked-up pointed windows, and the left return features Y-tracery. A central brick stack is also present.
