Description

The monument to Sir Alfred Lewis Jones, built in 1913, is located at Georges Pier Head. It features a stone plinth and a square stone pedestal that supports a bronze bust of Jones, surrounded by a laurel wreath. At the base of the pedestal are bronze allegorical figures representing the fruits of industry, research, and enterprise. At the top, there is a crowned female figure.
