Description

Simpson Fountain is an 1885 stone fountain attached to the retaining wall of the Church of Our Lady and St. Nicholas. It features a granite plinth and is designed in an elaborate Late Gothic style. The fountain has a four-centred arched niche that includes a portrait head and decorative panelling above. It is flanked by buttresses and topped with pinnacles that support heraldic beasts. The structure is capped with an ogival cap and a foliated finial.
