Description
The lodge on Anfield Road, built in 1868, was designed by E. R. Robson, who also laid out Stanley Park. It is constructed of snecked red sandstone and features slate roofs. The building has two storeys and measures three bays by two bays. The windows exhibit varied designs, with most being mullioned and featuring trefoil-headed lights with tympana. The right side of the lodge includes two-light windows with plate tracery on the first floor. The entrance is located under a canopy to the right of a projecting gabled bay, which has an external stack dated 1868. On the left side, there is a two-storeyed round bow with five lights on each floor, and the upper storey has an iron railing around a projecting sill supported by stone brackets.
