Description
Anfield County Girls Secondary School, specifically the old building, is an early 19th-century house that is now part of the school. It features a stucco exterior and a slate roof, standing two storeys tall with four bays. The first bay projects forward under a gable and is partially hidden by a later addition. There is a sill band on the first floor, along with a bracketed frieze and cornice at the top. All windows are fitted with eared architraves and are sash windows with glazing bars, although two of the ground floor windows have casements. The porch includes flat pilasters, an entablature, and a blocking course, while the 20th-century doorcase retains the original entablature. The rear elevation has a similar design, featuring cornices above the windows and one canted bay window.
