Description

The conservatory, built in 1899 by Mackenzie and Moncur, is an iron and glass structure resting on a stone base. The north side is accessed by steps. It features 15 by 7 bays, with each bay consisting of 2 rectangular panels and 3 round-headed lights. The hipped roof and clerestory are supported by an internal arch-braced colonnade. A verandah on the north side has glazed ends and a hipped roof, along with a projecting gable above the central steps. There is an iron balustrade and later railings on the two outer flights of steps.
