Description

The North Gate to Docks 28 to 31, located at Waterloo Road, dates back to the 1830s and was designed by J. Hartley. It features two square, battered stone piers that stand on rusticated bases and are topped with gabled caps adorned with acroteria. Although the original gates have been removed, 20th-century railings have been added.
